But this place on Gandijeva actually surprised me in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you book something that looks decent online and then show up to find it’s actually way better than the photos suggested? That’s exactly what happened here.
The location is what really makes this work – Gandijeva is one of those streets that puts you right in the heart of New Belgrade without all the tourist chaos you get closer to the old town. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to the Danube riverfront (maybe 10 minutes if you’re not rushing), but you’re also surrounded by actual Belgrade life. There’s this great little bakery about two blocks down that locals hit up for morning burek, and honestly, watching the neighborhood wake up from the apartment window became part of my daily routine. The building itself feels solid – none of that paper-thin wall nonsense you sometimes get with newer constructions. I could hear some street noise during the day, but nothing that kept me up at night.
What really got me was how thoughtfully everything was set up inside. The apartment doesn’t try to be fancy, but everything just… works. The kitchen actually has proper knives (you know what I’m talking about if you’ve ever tried to cook with those dull things most places provide), the shower has decent water pressure, and there’s enough closet space that I wasn’t living out of my suitcase the whole time. The Wi-Fi was solid too – I had a few work calls and never had to worry about dropping out mid-sentence. Parking was surprisingly straightforward for Belgrade; there’s street parking right outside and I never had trouble finding a spot, even coming back late in the evening. Check-in was refreshingly simple – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation since it’s an apartment setup. The host was responsive when I had questions but didn’t hover, which honestly is the perfect balance. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it delivers on everything it promises and then some. If you want to experience Belgrade like you actually live there for a few days, rather than just passing through as a tourist, this is your spot.

Amazing large apartment, close to shops and local bakery. Walking distance to other amenities. The apartment was spotless and fully equipped. The host was very helpful and accommodating.

Apartment is very spaceous, but it's also very well taken care off. Host was flexible for check-out times since we didn't knew exactly when we will leave. This is my option number one for my future Belgrade visits!
Apartman je odlican, na odlicnoj lokaciji. Pijaca, marketi, parkici, su na 2-3 minuta od samog apartmana.
Prava stvar za porodicu, ima sve od tehnike i bele tehnike.
Uzivo je mnogo veci nego sto izgleda na slikama.
Svala cast i za domacina, mi smo stigli malo kasnije uvece, sacekao nas je, uveo u smestaj. Sve pohvale.
Jos jedna bitna stvar za one koji putuju kolima, apartman ima svoju garazu, tako da je auto na sigurnom.
A spacious apartment ideal for a couple doing home office for a week. Very clean, equipped with a dishwasher, a washing machine and a kitchen with all necessary supplies. Stable internet connection with a sufficient bandwidth.
The host is very responsive.
What could be improved: A few minor inconveniences: one set of keys, the absence of water filter and a bit leaky shower.
