The house was directly in the city center. You can walk everywhere. Also, the last stop of the bus you get from the airport is in front of the house. There were all the necessary materials in the house. Thank you Bojan.

Natalie’s Home
You know what struck me first about Natalie's Home?
You know what struck me first about Natalie’s Home? It’s tucked into this charming corner of Stari Grad where you can actually hear yourself think – which, honestly, isn’t something you expect when you’re staying right in Belgrade’s old town. The building sits on Zeleni Venac, and I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Knez Mihailova pedestrian street, but somehow the noise just doesn’t carry over. Must be something about how these old Belgrade buildings are positioned.
The place has this lived-in elegance that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s apartment than a typical hotel. Natalie (yeah, there’s actually a Natalie, and she’s usually around during check-in) has this knack for making the space feel personal without being cluttered. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings – typical for this part of Belgrade – and she’s kept a lot of the original architectural details while adding modern touches that actually make sense. The bathrooms are properly updated, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in Stari Grad properties. I particularly loved the little reading nook by the window in my room where you could watch people heading to the nearby kafanas in the evening.
What really sets this place apart is how Natalie’s positioned it for people who want to experience Belgrade like locals do, not tourists rushing between Instagram spots. She’ll point you toward Gradska Kafana around the corner – it’s been there since 1823 and serves the kind of ćevapi that’ll ruin you for anywhere else. The morning coffee setup includes beans from a local roaster (I think it’s from Dva Jelena, but don’t quote me on that), and there’s always this amazing smell of fresh bread wafting up from the bakery downstairs. Fair warning though – if you’re sensitive to early morning sounds, that bakery gets going around 6 AM, but honestly, it just made me feel more connected to the rhythm of the neighborhood.
Parking can be a bit tricky since you’re right in the historic center, but Natalie worked out some arrangement with a garage about three blocks away. Not the most convenient thing ever, but I mean, you’re trading that minor hassle for being able to walk to Kalemegdan Fortress in ten minutes and stumble home from the bohemian quarter without needing a taxi. The building itself has this beautiful old elevator – one of those tiny European ones that makes you question your packing choices – but there are only three floors, so it’s not a big deal if you need to take the stairs.
The whole experience just feels authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find. This isn’t some design hotel trying to win architecture awards, and it’s not a budget place cutting corners on everything. It’s just a really solid, thoughtfully run spot where someone clearly cares about giving you a genuine taste of what Belgrade living feels like. That 8.5 rating makes perfect sense – it’s the kind of place that does everything well without trying to be something it’s not.

The location is very convenient. Breakfast is also very nice.
What could be improved: A little bit noise from the trams passing by. The parking lot is outside the hotel on the street, so be careful if you have a big car.
