Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Belgrade, and honestly? The Miu Arena Apartment caught me completely off guard. When I first saw the address on Španskih Boraca, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical – I mean, Novi Beograd can feel like a concrete jungle if you don’t know where you’re going. But this place sits in one of those surprisingly quiet pockets where you actually forget you’re in a major city.
The apartment itself is… well, it’s just really thoughtfully put together. You know how some places try too hard to be fancy and end up feeling sterile? This isn’t that. Everything works properly (and I mean everything – the wifi doesn’t cut out when you need it most, the shower has actual water pressure, the kitchen has all the basics if you want to grab groceries from the Maxi nearby). The building’s pretty modern, so you don’t get those weird old radiator sounds at 3am that seem to plague half the rentals in this city. Actually, the whole street stays remarkably quiet at night, which is gold if you’re trying to recover from exploring Belgrade’s nightlife scene.
What really sold me on this place is the location – and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way everyone throws around. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the Sava riverfront, which honestly has some of the best sunset views in the city. The Delta City shopping center is close enough if you need something specific, but far enough that you’re not dealing with crowds. There’s this little bakery about three blocks down that opens ridiculously early and makes these incredible burek pastries – the kind of local spot you’d never find unless you were actually staying in the neighborhood. Plus, getting to the old town from here is straightforward; you can catch the bus or just walk across the bridge if the weather’s decent.
The host was… actually helpful, which sounds like damning with faint praise, but you’d be surprised how rare that is. Check-in was smooth, they gave me actual useful tips about the area (not just the touristy stuff), and when I had a minor issue with the TV remote, they sorted it out within an hour. The whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s well-maintained apartment than dealing with some faceless rental company. And honestly, with a 9.8 rating, I went in expecting it to be overhyped, but it genuinely delivers on what it promises – a comfortable, clean, well-located base for exploring Belgrade without the hotel markup or the hostel chaos.

Everything was great! We had contactless check-in, payment, and check-out, which was very cool 🙂 There are several bus stops near the apartment, so getting into the city is easy. The location of the entrance is very obvious, so our taxi driver took us right to where needed and there were no problems with the food couriers.
What could be improved: It wasn't clear how to use the washing machine, but you can easily find instructions online. The wifi is not very strong, so there is almost no internet in the second room.

We really liked the apartment itself; it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is also very convenient that the apartment has two large beds in separate rooms. The location is good, there is a large supermarket nearby, there are public transport stops for traveling to any direction. Also within a 15-minute walk there is a train station where you can take a comfortable train to go to Novi Sad.
Contactless check-in was also very convenient, it gave us the opportunity to check-in at a time convenient for us.
We really liked everything! I would like to express my special gratitude to the owner Jelena. She was very responsive and could always be reached. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
