It’s tucked away on Kapetan-Mišina street in Stari Grad, which means you’re literally in the heart of old Belgrade without being stuck on some tourist-trap boulevard. The thing is, most people think they need to stay right on Knez Mihailova to be “in the action,” but honestly? This spot is maybe a five-minute walk from all that, and you actually get to sleep at night because you’re not dealing with the street noise and weekend party crowds.
The building itself has this understated elegance – I mean, it’s not trying to be some flashy boutique hotel, but there’s real attention to detail here. The owner clearly gets what travelers actually want, not what some corporate handbook says they should want. My room had these gorgeous high ceilings (you know how old Belgrade buildings can be) and the bed was legitimately comfortable, not just “decent for the price” comfortable. The breakfast spread was honestly better than places charging twice as much – proper Serbian coffee, local cheeses, and they actually asked what I preferred rather than just pointing to a sad buffet. You know what really sold me though? The little courtyard area where you can sit with your morning coffee. It’s this quiet pocket where you can hear the city waking up without feeling like you’re in the middle of a construction zone.
Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really capture – you’re walking distance from Kalemegdan Park, which is perfect for morning runs or evening strolls, but you’re also close enough to the Bohemian Quarter that you can stumble back after a night out without paying for expensive taxis. The 9.3 rating makes total sense when you actually stay there; it’s not just tourists being generous, it’s people recognizing when someone’s running a place with genuine care. Parking can be a bit tricky in that neighborhood (honestly, it’s Belgrade – parking is always interesting), but they help you figure it out rather than just shrugging and wishing you luck. I’d definitely go back, and I’m pretty picky about where I stay. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re experiencing Belgrade properly, not just checking boxes on some itinerary.

Hotel is located on a small and quiet street and at the same time very close to the center. Inside it's new and clean. Staff is friendly.

The location was very good. There were many sweet and delicious restaurants nearby.
What could be improved: We lost the room card. It was a very simple card. When we returned to the hotel at night, the receptionist said either you find the card or we will issue a new one for 10 euros. When we said we would get a new one with a credit card, she said we couldn't do it with a credit card and we had to pay in cash. We felt like we were scammed, we hope the hotel really received the payment.
Very clean and neat place, excellent breakfast, very friendly and helpfull staff
What could be improved: Size of the room and bathroom could be a bit bigger
Staff were exceptionally friendly. In particular, the lady who picked me up from the airport. I had a very interesting conversation with her in that taxi ride about her country and what to do on my visit. The chefs were very friendly too, even despite language barriers. Simple things like "good morning" here and there.
Superb, comprehensive buffet breakfast.
The location was close enough to everything I could've needed, and I never felt especially unsafe walking around, even at night.
What could be improved: The room was maybe a little small. But as a solo traveller, not a huge issue
