Kopernik – parking available
You know what struck me first about Kopernik?
You know what struck me first about Kopernik? The name itself – it’s tucked away on Kopernikova street in Palilula, and honestly, I had to ask my Belgrade taxi driver twice because even locals sometimes mix up these residential streets. But that’s actually part of its charm. You’re staying in a proper neighborhood, not some touristy bubble downtown.
The parking situation alone makes this place worth considering – I mean, anyone who’s driven through Belgrade knows what a nightmare finding a spot can be, especially around the city center. Here, you’ve got dedicated parking (thank god), and you’re still close enough to walk to Kalemegdan if you’re feeling ambitious, though most people grab a taxi or use public transport. The Palilula area has this lived-in feel that I really liked – there’s a bakery around the corner where locals line up for fresh burek in the mornings, and you’ll hear actual Serbian conversations on the street instead of tourist chatter.
Inside, it’s clear they’re trying to hit that sweet spot between business hotel efficiency and something with a bit more personality. The 4-star rating feels honest – not trying to be the Ritz, but definitely a step up from budget accommodation. What impressed me was the attention to small details that only matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The Wi-Fi actually works properly (I was video calling without issues), the shower has decent water pressure, and the beds are firm enough that you don’t feel like you’re sinking into a marshmallow. The staff seem genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – they knew their neighborhood well enough to give me solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps.
The 8.6 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. It’s not flashy, but it’s competent and comfortable. I stayed during a busy conference week in Belgrade, and while I could hear some street noise in the early morning (this is a city, after all), it wasn’t the kind of thing that kept me awake. The area gets quiet after dinner time, which is perfect if you’re planning to explore Belgrade’s famous nightlife but still want somewhere peaceful to crash afterward. Plus, being in Palilula means you’re experiencing a slice of actual Belgrade life – I loved watching the evening routine of families walking their dogs and neighbors chatting on stoops. It felt authentic in a way that sterile hotel districts never do.

What Our Guests Say
Location
What could be improved: Not that good organization with owner
Comfortable bed.near public transportation.
What could be improved: Cannot complain
Very large near to the bus stops.
What could be improved: A bit far to the center.
A very good hostess.
We stayed for the Rammstein concert for 3 days. She did not give us problems with the reservation, as happened to many of our compatriots. There was no problem with the late check-in.
Parking could also be used.
The apartment is tastefully furnished (it looks like it was touched by a woman's hand)
Once again, we are very grateful to the landlady.
Everything was OK
Near the center
Everything was perfect
Nice apartment, had a comfortable stay.
What could be improved: There were two or more neighbors that did not appreciate us parking our car in the tenants parking lot. Don’t know whether it was because of our bigger car or if they dislike the renting of apartments to tourists.
The apartment was comfortable, spacious and clean and the host was super nice. The area is quiet and pleasant. We would stay there again if we ever visit Belgrade.
