Walk one direction and you hit Knez Mihailova pedestrian zone with all the cafés and shops. Walk the other way and you’re in these winding streets where locals actually live and work. The staff seems to get this too; they’re not just handing you generic tourist maps, they’ll actually tell you which kafana serves the best ćevapi in the area (and trust me, it matters). Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – street parking is hit or miss, but they’ll help you figure it out. The 8.5 rating makes sense when you consider that you’re getting genuine apartment living in the heart of the old city without paying hotel prices for cramped quarters. It’s not luxury, but it’s comfortable and real, which honestly feels more authentic when you’re trying to experience Belgrade properly.
