One thing to note: if you’re arriving by car, parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this neighborhood. The street parking fills up pretty quickly, especially in the evenings when locals come home from work.

Walk five minutes toward the Sava River and you’ll hit some of the city’s best kafanas (traditional restaurants) that tourists never find because they’re not on the main drags. The famous floating river clubs are just a short taxi ride away, and if you’re here during summer, trust me, you’ll want to experience Belgrade’s legendary nightlife on the water. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that doesn’t blow you away at first glance, but after a few days you realize how well thought out everything is. The staff actually knows the neighborhood and can point you toward the good stuff, not just the obvious tourist spots. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel less like a tourist and more like I was actually experiencing how Belgrade works as a city.
