Hotel Nota
You know what struck me first about Hotel Nota?
You know what struck me first about Hotel Nota? It’s tucked away on this quiet street in Vračar, and I mean properly quiet – not the kind of “quiet” hotels usually promise while you’re listening to traffic all night. Grčića Milenka is one of those residential streets where locals actually live, so you get this authentic Belgrade vibe without the tourist chaos. The building itself has that understated elegance thing going on – not flashy, but you can tell someone put thought into the details. Check-in was refreshingly smooth, actually, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to see us rather than just going through the motions.
Here’s the thing about staying in Vračar – you’re basically in Belgrade’s intellectual heart without realizing it. I’d walk out of Hotel Nota in the morning and stumble into these little kafanas where professors and writers hang out, or find myself on Svetogorska Street (just a few minutes away) browsing bookshops I never would’ve discovered otherwise. The hotel sits perfectly for exploring on foot – you can wander to Kalemegdan Park when you want that classic Belgrade fortress experience, but you’re also close enough to the bohemian Skadarlija quarter for late-night rakija sessions. What really impressed me was how the hotel felt connected to the neighborhood rather than dropped into it. The rooms are honestly well-appointed without being overdone – clean lines, comfortable beds, and those little touches that show someone actually thinks about what travelers need. I appreciated the soundproofing too, because Belgrade can get lively and you sometimes need refuge from all that Balkan energy.
The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything just works. Breakfast was solid (proper Serbian coffee, thankfully), the WiFi didn’t make me want to throw my laptop out the window, and honestly, the value feels right for what you get. If you’re the type who wants to experience Belgrade like someone who actually lives there rather than just hitting the obvious tourist spots, Hotel Nota gives you that base. Plus parking isn’t a nightmare if you’re driving, which – trust me – matters more than you think in Belgrade’s city center. I’d stay here again, and I don’t say that about most places.

Hotel is located in a great and quiet location, has private parking. Neat and clean, the staff was friendly. Breakfast is a la cart, which is extra nice. Room service - on point as well. Great for a few nights for couples.
This is the best 4-star hotel I visited currently. I will definitely come back.
