The walk to Knez Mihailova takes maybe fifteen minutes if you’re strolling, ten if you’re actually trying to get somewhere.

Inside, everything just works – and I say that as someone who’s dealt with temperamental Balkan plumbing and WiFi that cuts out every time someone uses the microwave. The space feels lived-in but well-maintained, sort of like staying at a friend’s place if your friend happened to have really good taste and actually kept their apartment clean. The kitchen’s properly equipped (not just some sad hot plate situation), the bed’s comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling bears, and honestly, the whole place just has this warmth to it that you don’t always find in rental apartments.
