Deki & Kolet
Look, I've stayed at my fair share of Belgrade hotels, and Deki & Kolet honestly caught me off guard in the best way.
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Belgrade hotels, and Deki & Kolet honestly caught me off guard in the best way. Tucked away on Vlajkovićeva in the heart of Stari Grad, this place feels more like crashing at your stylish Serbian friend’s apartment than checking into a typical hotel. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediately relaxed vibe – you know how some places just feel right? The reception area has this warm, lived-in quality with local art on the walls and staff who actually seem happy to see you (rare these days, honestly).
What really gets me is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between boutique charm and genuine comfort. The rooms are thoughtfully designed without being pretentious – I mean, you can tell someone who understands travelers put thought into every detail. The beds are properly comfortable (not just Instagram-pretty), and the bathrooms have that satisfying weight to the fixtures that makes you feel like you’re somewhere special. Plus, the soundproofing is surprisingly good for an older building, which matters when you’re this close to the city center’s weekend energy. I was there during peak summer season and barely heard the street noise, even with windows open for the cross-breeze.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Belgrade like locals do rather than just hitting tourist spots. You’re literally steps from Skadarlija – that cobblestone bohemian quarter everyone talks about – but also walking distance to the fortress and Kalemegdan Park for morning runs. What I really appreciated was being able to wander down to the Danube waterfront in about ten minutes, or grab coffee at one of those tiny neighborhood cafés that don’t even have signs. The staff gave me directions to this incredible bakery around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise (seriously, ask them about local food spots – they know their stuff). Parking can be tricky in this part of town, but they sorted that out without any drama. That 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Belgrade, but everything just works seamlessly. You know those trips where the hotel becomes part of why you loved the destination? This is one of those places.

What Our Guests Say
It was cute, comfy and the balcony was a fantastic addition to a lovely property. Hosts were prompt and super helpful.
The house was very nice. The interior of the house was clean and the location was great. It was very close to everything. Irena was also a very sweet host. If we come to Belgrade again, we will definitely stay in this house again ☺️

What could be improved: I can’t tell anything
Absolutely perfect and made with love! I m travelling to Belgrade and Serbia since 2009 and its best appartments in Belgrade city center for me and my family for all the time. Very cozy, quet, atmosphere and bright place with ideal location in Belgrade. Many little cozy details shows that room was made with big love, like for own living. My wife liked good design and smart attention to details. And we liked the appartment generally very much also. It has also very romantic, quet and comfortable terrace with big umbrella. Ideal place for coffee and relax in the sun in a quiet court with view to the theater. All the apartment and terrace look like some place from romantic tale of Hans Khristian Andersen. In the apartment everything you need for comfortable staying in Belgrade and the rest, I also never seen in Belgrade apartments so many additional staff. I would even say that the apartment and approach for design is not very typical for Belgrade center apartments which i saw during that years.
I work in Russia in one of the biggest national companies which is well known as the best for its best client service and products design in world fintech. And here i see that client service and "product design" is the 10 of 10. Good job and my best recommendations!
Really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely return if I ever to visit the city again. Cozy apartment in the heart of the city center and a wonderful host Irena that was more than helpful during the whole stay :)
