It’s actually a proper gem tucked right in the heart of Stari Grad, and that 100 square meters isn’t just marketing fluff. You walk in and there’s this immediate sense of space that most Belgrade accommodations just don’t have, especially in the old town where everything’s cramped together like sardines.
The location is what really got me though. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Republic Square – and I actually timed it because I’m obsessive like that. But here’s the thing locals know: Dositejeva is just off the main tourist drag, so you get all the convenience without the constant stream of people stumbling back from the kafanas at 3 AM. The building itself has that solid, pre-war feel (thick walls, thank god), and while the neighborhood gets lively during the day, it actually quiets down nicely in the evenings. I slept with the windows open most nights, which you honestly can’t do everywhere in central Belgrade.
What struck me most was how the place manages to feel both spacious and cozy – there’s room to actually spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase, but it doesn’t have that sterile, corporate apartment vibe. The furnishings are thoughtful rather than flashy, and whoever set this up clearly understands what travelers actually need. Good lighting for reading, proper hangers (not those awful attached ones), and the kitchen is equipped well enough that I actually cooked a few meals instead of eating out every night. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works, which is rarer than you’d think. Small detail, but when you’re dealing with Belgrade’s summer heat, it matters. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-passing dance you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The 9.7 rating honestly makes sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it nails all the things that actually matter when you’re traveling.

An excellent place to stay just 1 minute walk from the main square of Belgrade. The host was especially informative about things to do in Belgrade. He is a very nice man. The apartment is very large.
Great apartment - very spacious, clean and well-equipped. Location is also perfect, couldn't be more central. Dusan is a great host and welcomed us very warmly.

Great, central stay. Huge, Clean and quiet apartment. Plenty of towels, big kitchen with a balcony on the side. It is both exactly in the centrest of the center and practically adjacent to a wonderful, quiet neighbourhood with tree-lined, small streets where it is possible to find fine restaurants and cozy cafés.
It has an elevator too.
What could be improved: Nothing.
The apartment exceeded our expectations - large and roomy for the three of us. Fantastic location 50 metres from city centre, quiet apartment and well equiped. Would definitely stay here next time. The host was gracious enough to order a taxi for us on the last day as catching taxi's in Belgrade has its challenges.
This is a very spacious apartment located in a side street just off Republic Square. It's central location means you are walking distance from everything in the old city and its surroundings. The owner was very attentive and helpful. We appreciated the large living room, bedrooms, spacious kitchen, washing machine, iron and ironing board and 1 1/2 bathrooms.

The host - Dusan was very helpful. Waited for us at the apartment. The apartment is truly magnificent. spotlessly clean in perfect location in the center of the Belgrade. Every major attraction is easily accessible from there. Dusan even bought a new mattress for our 1 year old. I would definitely stay there again
What could be improved: Lift was a bit of a disaster especially with small kids and buggy. Obviously not the host's fault but something to consider when staying with small children for longer stay
