Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Belgrade, but the Danube Apartment on Koscuska Street honestly surprised me. When you first walk up to number 94, it doesn’t scream luxury or anything β it’s just this solid building in Stari Grad that feels like it belongs there, you know? But once you’re inside, well, that’s where things get interesting.
The apartment itself is actually really thoughtfully put together. I mean, someone clearly spent time thinking about how people actually live and move around a space. The kitchen has proper counter space (thank god), and the bed is one of those where you don’t wake up feeling like you wrestled with a brick wall all night. What I really appreciated was the quiet β and trust me, finding a genuinely quiet spot in Belgrade can be tricky. Koscuska Street gets some foot traffic during the day, but it’s not one of those streets where delivery trucks are rumbling past at 6 AM. The windows are decent quality too, which… honestly, you don’t realize how much that matters until you’re trying to sleep in a place with thin glass and trams clattering by.
Here’s the thing about staying in Stari Grad β you’re actually in the middle of everything without being in the tourist chaos. From this apartment, you can walk to Kalemegdan in maybe fifteen minutes if you’re taking your time, but you’re also close enough to those little kafanas that locals actually go to, not just the ones with English menus. There’s this bakery around the corner that does amazing burek in the mornings, and the green market isn’t far if you want to grab some fresh stuff. Parking can be a bit of a dance β it’s street parking mostly, and you’ll probably end up walking a block or two, but that’s pretty standard for this part of the city. The whole area just feels lived-in rather than polished for tourists, which I actually prefer. You get a sense of what Belgrade is really like day-to-day, not just the postcard version. The check-in was smooth too β no standing around wondering if anyone’s actually going to show up with keys, which has definitely happened to me before in this city.

Stan je predivan, odmah pored Dunava, u mirnom kraju, a opet blizu centra i svega na Dorcolu. Rezervisano parking mesto, sjajna komunikacija, veoma predusretljivi domacini, sve je bilo savrseno!

Wonderful hosts, very friendly. Their advice meant a lot to us. The accommodation with parking was perfect for us, and we literally walked everywhere. we hope to come again!

Domacica Jelena mnogo ljubaznaaa! Stan cist, uredan, dosta veliki, parking u rampi, auto sigurno, oni vam sacuvaju mjesto. Nije bilo potrebe da koristimo auto, odmah ispred zgrade je stanica i odlicna linijaa za svaki dio grada. Sve pohvale, uzivali smo!

Good location near transport links, attractions such as Kilimangan Park and fortress, the zoo, 5 minutes walk from the Danube. Very comfortable bed, nice balcony. The host thought of everything to make your stay a good one.
What could be improved: A microwave would have been handy. The yard outside could have done with a sweep.
Amazing location right by the Danube river, 10 min walk to Belgrade fortress, bus station across the street and free parking. Lots of things to do and to see. The host Jelena is great. Welcomed us with a heap of information, maps, provided extra linen for our son and even some ice cream money π would definitely stay again!
What could be improved: Nothing
Location and coziness of apartment are amazing. Everything that you might need for your stay is already there. Supermarket and bus stop are in 5 minutes. Host is perfectly friendly and helped us with everything. Many thanks
