You know what surprised me most about this place?
You know what surprised me most about this place? The address sounds intimidating – I mean, try pronouncing Булевар војводе Бојовића on your first try – but honestly, once you’re there, everything just clicks. This apartment sits right in the heart of Stari Grad, which is Belgrade’s old town, and I’m talking properly old, not tourist-brochure old. The building itself has this weathered elegance that screams “I’ve got stories,” and from the moment you step inside, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something special.
The fortress views are absolutely ridiculous – and I mean that in the best way possible. You’re literally looking out at Kalemegdan Fortress, which has been watching over Belgrade for centuries, and the way the light hits those ancient walls during sunset is something you’ll actually remember years later. The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Belgrade friend just handed you the keys to their place. Everything works (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in this part of the world), the WiFi is solid, and there’s this lived-in comfort that makes you want to stay in your pajamas and order Turkish coffee from the café downstairs. The 9.8 rating isn’t some inflated number – people genuinely love staying here, and after spending time there, I get it.
What really sold me was the neighborhood vibe. You’re a five-minute walk from Skadarlija, Belgrade’s bohemian quarter where the restaurants stay open late and musicians just start playing on the street because why not. But here’s the thing locals know – if you head the other direction toward the river, you’ll find these little kafanas that don’t even have signs, just regulars who’ve been coming for decades. The apartment is positioned perfectly for both worlds: you can stumble home from a night out on Knez Mihailova (the main pedestrian street that gets absolutely packed during summer evenings), or you can grab fresh bread from the bakery that opens at 6 AM and sounds like controlled chaos but smells like heaven. Parking can be tricky – I mean, this is the city center – but the host actually gives decent advice about where to leave your car without getting a ticket. One small thing: the building entrance is a bit dark at night, but once you figure out the lights, it’s fine. Actually, it adds to the charm – this isn’t some sanitized hotel experience, it’s Belgrade as it really is, just with really good sheets and a view that most locals would kill for.

Awesome apartment, probably in the best area of the city - near (within walking distance) the embankment with running tracks, the central castle and the most central part of the city with all shops, cafes and restaurants. The parking space was just a gift - you take the elevator up from the parking lot directly to the apartment area. The house itself is new in one of the best residential complexes in Belgrade. The apartment had everything you needed for a long stay - a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and a comfortable mattress on the bed. At the same time, the windows overlook the courtyard of the complex, so that you are not bothered by the noise of the city. The apartment greeted us with sparkling cleanliness. In addition, there was coffee in the kitchen for the entire stay. The owner was always in touch and very helpful.
What could be improved: The only inconvenience was that it was on our arrival that the Internet provider had to be changed and we had to use the cell phone left by the owner as a connection point.

The location was perfect for our needs. The apartment is very nice, spacious, clean and perfectly equipped. Coffee machine and good coffee available. Good heating system, in the bathroom as well. Comfortable beds. Private parking spot (suitable for a very big car as well) in an underground secured parking, very close to the elevator. Self check-in through an application. We checked-in the day before our arrival to give the host enough time to check/approve our documents and send instructions. Very nice food at Sweet & Green, located 2 minutes from the appartment. Good communication with the host.
What could be improved: Make sure to let the host know if you need to use the sofa in the living room as a bed. There was no WI-FI connection during our stay but it seems it was a temporary problem. Would prefer to be informed in advance for the inconveniences instead of loosing time and money (for international mobile internet) upon arrival.
