So I stumbled across D-HOME KING apartment during my last trip to Belgrade, and honestly? I’m kind of glad it’s tucked away on Kralja Petra street because it feels like a local secret. The building itself is classic Stari Grad – you know, that beautiful old Belgrade architecture that makes you slow down and actually look up from your phone. What caught me off guard was how spacious this place is. I mean, most city apartments feel like you’re living in a shoebox, but here you can actually spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage.
The location is pretty brilliant if you know Belgrade at all. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Skadarlija (the bohemian quarter where all the kafanas are), and Kalemegdan Park is close enough that you’ll probably end up there for sunset drinks without even planning it. The apartment sits right in the heart of the old town, which means cobblestone streets and that slightly uneven charm that comes with centuries-old neighborhoods. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – welcome to Belgrade’s old town, right? – but the host actually gave me solid advice about where to find spots that don’t require a engineering degree to navigate.
What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail. The kitchen is actually functional (you’d be surprised how rare that is in vacation rentals), and there’s this gorgeous natural light that floods in during the morning hours. The bed is properly comfortable too – not just Instagram-pretty but actually supportive, which my back appreciated after all that walking around the city. You can hear a bit of street life during the day, but it’s the good kind of urban soundtrack, not the annoying kind. Plus, the walls are thick enough that you’re not listening to your neighbors’ Netflix choices. I stayed here during late spring when Belgrade gets busy with tourists, and while the main squares were packed, this little corner of Stari Grad felt pleasantly lived-in rather than touristy. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places that delivers on the practical stuff while still having character. If you’re looking for a proper Belgrade experience without the hostel chaos or the sterile hotel vibe, this apartment hits that sweet spot perfectly.

The space was well organized and everything was new and clean. The beds were comfortable and the host has been very kind.
What could be improved: To be noted: it’s at the 5th floor without elevator.
We knew and we were fine about it, but it’s important to know, especially if you have big luggage

What could be improved: Maybe some better grill pans and cooking pots, knives, would be nice but it wasn’t a problem at all!
The apartment was fantastic—newly renovated and way better than the old photos in the listing! It’s super modern, with comfortable bedrooms and big TVs in every room, including the living room. The updated design makes it feel so much more inviting and stylish.
A huge thanks to the host, who was incredibly helpful and quick to solve any issues during our stay. It really made a difference!

The apartment is renovated, it has cool modern vibes, last floor, good heating, and good equipment kitchen and bathroom
What could be improved: I like everything but be ready it is 4th floor without elevator
Nice and clean apartment in the very center of Belgrade. The location is excellent, it is close to the fortress and many shops.
What could be improved: The apartment is located on the 5th floor and there is no elevator in the building. If you have heavy luggage be prepared to carry it up 10 stair flights.
The location of the house was good. Walking distance to the center. The owner Dijana was very helpful and answered every question. The house is much more beautiful than the pictures. Each room has A/C and TV. If I come to Belgrade again I will stay in the same house.
What could be improved: The only problem is that the house is on the fifth floor and there is no elevator.

What could be improved: Clean, comfortable, much focus on details. Apartment has everything from AC one very room, to comfortable bed and plenty of amazing towels (something that is more and more rare).
