The apartment itself feels more spacious than most places you’ll find in this area, probably because it’s not crammed into one of those narrow old buildings. What I really appreciate is how walkable everything is from here. You’re maybe two minutes from Kalemegdan Park, and honestly, having that morning coffee walk through the fortress before the tour groups arrive is worth the booking alone. The building’s right in that sweet spot where you can stumble home from Skadarlija after too much rakija, but you’re also close enough to the normal stuff – there’s a decent grocery store on Cara Dušana, and the 24-hour bakery on the corner saves you when you need late-night burek. The host was pretty straightforward about check-in, no drama there, though the stairs might be a bit much if you’re hauling huge suitcases – there’s no elevator, but fourth floor isn’t terrible. I stayed here in both summer and winter, and the heating actually works properly, which… well, anyone who’s spent time in Belgrade apartments knows that’s not always a given. The Wi-Fi holds up fine for video calls, and the shower has decent pressure. Look, it’s not luxury, but it’s solid, comfortable, and the location really can’t be beat if you want to experience Belgrade like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through.
