Mike and Lela are the best hosts we have ever seen! They are very welcoming, kind and considerate. We enjoyed our stay during 3 nights, the apartment was very clean and comfortable.

Centrum
You know, I wasn't sure what to expect when I first walked up to Balkanska 6 – honestly, from the street it just looks like another Belgrade apartment building.
You know, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first walked up to Balkanska 6 – honestly, from the street it just looks like another Belgrade apartment building. But here’s the thing about Centrum: it’s one of those places that completely surprises you once you’re inside. The whole setup is basically a beautifully converted apartment on the fifth floor, and I mean, the location alone is worth talking about. You’re literally in the heart of Stari Grad, which means you can stumble out the door and be at Skadarlija (the bohemian quarter) in about three minutes, or walk to Kalemegdan Fortress without breaking a sweat.
What really got me was how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. The apartment – because that’s essentially what it is – feels like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. The floors have this warm wood finish that creaks just slightly when you walk across them (in a charming way, not annoying), and the windows actually open wide enough to let in those amazing Belgrade morning sounds – church bells, trams clattering down the hill, people chatting in the courtyard below. I spent way too much time just sitting by the window with coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up. The kitchen area is fully equipped too, which honestly saved me a fortune since Belgrade’s food scene can be tempting but pricey if you’re eating out every meal. Plus there’s something satisfying about picking up fresh bread from the bakery downstairs and making your own breakfast.
The practical stuff? Well, there’s no elevator, so if you’ve got heavy luggage, just mentally prepare for those five flights – though the stairwell has these gorgeous old tiles that make the climb feel less tedious. Parking can be tricky in this area (it’s old Belgrade, after all), but the host actually gave me specific streets to try where locals park, which was incredibly helpful. What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central – I mean, you’ll hear the occasional late-night reveler, but it’s nothing like what you’d expect from such a prime location. The whole building has this solid, old-world construction that seems to muffle most of the city noise. And honestly? That 9.7 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be a fancy hotel with marble lobbies and uniformed staff, but it nails everything that actually matters – comfort, character, and that perfect balance of being right in the action while still feeling like a peaceful retreat.

What Our Guests Say
The accommodation was fantastic – right in the city center, so everything was literally within walking distance. The location is perfect for exploring Belgrade. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. Mike welcomed us with a smile and gave us great tips on where to go and what not to miss. As a lovely surprise, he even left us a bottle of wine, which we really appreciated. We were more than satisfied with both the accommodation and the host. We’ll definitely be coming back
Everything was perfect related to this booking. No doubt we are gonna book this house once again whenever we go to Belgrade again. Location, owner, house structure and equipments inside all of them extremely well
What could be improved: nothing
What could be improved: One day was raining outside
Amazing location, with stunning views! Had everything we needed and more. The host was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We highly recommend staying here!
The apartment is definitely centrally located, very close to Hotel Moscow. The building is about 100 years old, but the apartment, in the high floor, is well equipped and maintained. Mike, the host, met us at the parking spot, showed us around and was enthusiastic to tell us all about exploring the city and the surroundings. Parking for the car was very convenient, and we didn't need to move the car at all during our entire stay.
What could be improved: There is a 4-5 minutes walk between the parking spot and the building entrance, so there is some luggage handling to do, but it is not a big hassle.
Good location. Clean, bright apartment with good views over the city.well equipped with kitchen utensils, bathroom and shower necessities.
What could be improved: Nothing
The appartment is a great base to explore the city. Sightseeing, bakery, supermarket and restaurants.... everything is within walking distance. The appartment is carefully and very fully furnished. The owners are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The communication before and during the stay (by app) is particularly pleasant. Wholeheartedly recommended!
What could be improved: Nothing.
We spent great time in Belgrade and Centrum apartment was the reason, we didn't move our car for three days. It is a great location in the center of the town and close to many interesting places. Host Miči and his wife are very kind and helpful. They gave us all the necessary info (and many more) regarding the city and our needs. The apartment has a great view of the old and new part of the city. Beds are great, I slept like a baby :) I really recommend this place if you would like to travel to Belgrade.
Lila and Mike are professionals who go above and beyond and think of the little things. They personalized our trip where to go where to eat...showed us their version of their country so rich in traditions, culture and history.
What could be improved: that we only spent two days there. this is the gem of the Balkans and you need time here
