Well, there’s no elevator, so if you’ve got heavy luggage, just mentally prepare for those five flights – though the stairwell has these gorgeous old tiles that make the climb feel less tedious. Parking can be tricky in this area (it’s old Belgrade, after all), but the host actually gave me specific streets to try where locals park, which was incredibly helpful. What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central – I mean, you’ll hear the occasional late-night reveler, but it’s nothing like what you’d expect from such a prime location. The whole building has this solid, old-world construction that seems to muffle most of the city noise. And honestly? That 9.7 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here.
