You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into Beldorado Apartments – honestly, the name sounds a bit made-up, doesn’t it? But this place on Luke Ćelovića Trebinjca absolutely floored me. It’s right in the heart of Belgrade Waterfront, which I mean, some locals still call it the “new Belgrade” even though it’s been developing for years now. The thing is, being on the fourth floor (apartment 403, if you’re keeping track), you get these incredible views of the Sava River that actually make you stop whatever you’re doing and just… look. The designer studio setup is legitimately impressive – not that fake “luxury” stuff you see everywhere, but thoughtful touches like the way the morning light hits the marble countertops and how the furniture actually fits the space instead of being crammed in there.

What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being so central. I was worried about noise from Gazela Bridge – you can practically see the traffic from the windows – but honestly, the soundproofing is solid. The apartment has this clean, almost minimalist vibe that somehow doesn’t feel cold, probably because of the warm wood accents and the fact that everything actually works (shocking, I know, but you’d be surprised how rare that is). The kitchen is small but functional – I made coffee every morning and never felt cramped. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too; no standing around lobbies or dealing with attitude from front desk staff. The building itself is modern, which means the elevator works consistently and the hallways don’t smell like old carpet and regret.

Here’s the thing about staying in Belgrade Waterfront though – you’re walking distance from both the old town charm and the newer developments, which is honestly the best of both worlds. I could grab breakfast at one of those tiny bakeries on Karađorđeva Street (maybe a five-minute walk), then spend the afternoon wandering through Kalemegdan Park, then come back and watch the sunset over the water with a glass of wine. The 9.8 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where the small details add up. The WiFi actually works for video calls, the shower has proper water pressure, and there’s enough closet space that you don’t have to live out of your suitcase. I mean, for a four-star place, it punches above its weight. The only minor thing I’d mention is that grocery shopping means a bit of a walk to the bigger stores, but there’s a small market nearby for basics. Would I stay here again? Absolutely – and I’d probably book the same apartment because honestly, that river view never gets old.
