The apartment itself has this lived-in quality that I actually love. Nina (yes, there’s a real Nina who runs this place) has clearly put thought into the details that matter when you’re away from home. The kitchen actually has sharp knives – sounds silly, but you know how rare that is in rentals. There’s proper coffee setup too, not just those awful instant packets. The bed is legitimately comfortable, and I’m picky about that stuff. What really got me though was the morning light streaming through these big windows – it hits the living room just right around 8am, and you can hear the neighborhood waking up: kids heading to school, the tram in the distance, someone’s grandmother probably arguing with the baker about bread prices.

Getting around from here is easier than you’d think. The number 23 tram runs pretty regularly and gets you into the city center in about 20 minutes, though honestly I ended up walking a lot because the neighborhood itself is worth exploring. There’s this little kafana about three blocks away where locals go for proper pljeskavica – not touristy at all, just good food. Parking was never an issue either, which is saying something for Belgrade. The whole Banovo Brdo area stays pretty quiet in the evenings, so if you’re looking to party until 4am, you’ll need to head toward Skadarlija or the riverside clubs. But if you want to sleep properly and wake up refreshed? Perfect. Nina’s got the check-in process down to a science too – she actually shows up when she says she will, explains how everything works without being overwhelming, and leaves you with her number for anything urgent. That 9.9 rating isn’t just luck; she’s clearly figured out what travelers actually need versus what they think they want.
