Alma Vracar
You know what struck me first about Alma Vracar?
You know what struck me first about Alma Vracar? It’s tucked away on Kneginje Zorke street in this gorgeous residential pocket of Belgrade that most tourists completely miss – and honestly, that’s part of its charm. I mean, Vracar is where actual Belgradians live, not just where they take visitors, so you’re getting this authentic neighborhood vibe that’s pretty rare for hotel stays. The building itself has that classic Belgrade apartment feel (it’s literally in an apartment building on the first floor), which sounds sketchy until you realize this is just how some of the best accommodations work here.
The 9.7 rating isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense – this place actually earns it through all these small touches that show someone really cares. The apartment is immaculate in that way that makes you wonder if anyone’s ever actually stayed there before, but then you notice thoughtful details like local coffee brands in the kitchen and a neighborhood map with handwritten notes about the best bakery around the corner. What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night; Vracar residential streets don’t have the tram noise you’ll get closer to the center, so you actually sleep well. The owner clearly knows their stuff about what travelers need – proper wifi that doesn’t cut out when you’re trying to work, blackout curtains that actually block light, and a shower with decent water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think in Belgrade).
Here’s the thing about staying here though – you’re about a 15-minute walk to Republic Square, which means you’re close enough to hit all the main spots but far enough to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. The neighborhood has this lived-in energy with locals walking their dogs and old guys playing chess in the small parks. There’s a fantastic little grocery store literally two minutes away, and if you’re into coffee culture (which, in Belgrade, you should be), there are these hole-in-the-wall cafes nearby that serve better espresso than most hotel lobbies. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because checkout felt too soon – it had started feeling like home in that comfortable way good accommodations manage. Sure, it’s not a fancy hotel with a lobby and concierge, but if you want to experience Belgrade like someone who actually lives there while still having a really comfortable, clean place to crash, this is exactly what you’re looking for.

What Our Guests Say
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alma Vracar. The place is nicely done and it was spotless. It is well-equipped with everything you might need during your stay. Would happily stay there again!
Clean and cosy. Had everything for a solo/couple.
What could be improved: The bathroom was very narrow and the tv remote didnt work. The host asked me to pay the whole sum upfront, which I found it a bit pushy. Nevertheless, I’d still rate it 9/10.
It was a pleasure to be guests аt Alma Vracar apartment.
Everything was perfect in the apartment, a quiet place in the center of Belgrade.
Thank you very much!
A really lovely modern, light and clean apartment with everything you need for a short stay (including reasonable cooking facilities). Close to the big 'Green Market' and also the airport mini-bus stop. Great location to use all the local trams and buses into the very centre. Good cafes and restaurants around including a very good 'Lu Lu' pastry shop in the block. Easy to get into with the key box. Hosts were responsive and accommodating (they stored a suitcase for me over a long weekend). I hope to come back.
What could be improved: Nothing.
Nisam bio u apartmanu lično, rezervisao sam za brata i rekao mi je da je odličan apartman.

Highly recommand!
Location,
I booked this as this way close to the start line of Belgrade Marathon (15min walk). The facilities were perfect, cook ware, excellent furnishings, very quiet inside. The area, restaurants and being so close to St Sava Temple. Really felt at home right away. Greeted by host on arrival, and he was instantly available for any issues on Whattsap. Host also offers Airport drop of (for a fee) this made my departure very pleasant.
What could be improved: it was perfect.
