There’s something about being near the water that makes the whole area feel more relaxed, less frantic than the city center. And honestly, if you’re planning to check out Kalemegdan Fortress or the bohemian quarter of Skadarlija, this location puts you in the sweet spot where everything’s accessible but you’re not paying premium prices for being right in the thick of things.

The apartments themselves are what you’d call thoughtfully designed – not flashy, but everything works and feels intentional. The kitchenette actually has proper equipment (I made coffee every morning, which saved me from hunting down cafes before I was fully awake), and the Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay. I appreciated little touches like having enough outlets by the bed and blackout curtains that actually block light – details that matter when you’re dealing with jet lag or just want to sleep in.
