During the day, you’re about a 15-minute bus ride to the center, and the local buses run pretty regularly – though I’d recommend asking your host about the best routes since Belgrade’s public transport can be a bit of a puzzle for visitors. There’s a decent grocery store maybe a five-minute walk away, and honestly, the whole area feels safe to wander around, even in the evening. I found myself taking these random walks just to see how regular Belgraders live, which you miss completely if you stay in the tourist bubble downtown. The host was responsive without being pushy – answered my questions about getting around but didn’t hover. Check-in was smooth, and they actually gave useful local tips instead of just handing over keys. That 9.7 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well.
