Three Bedroom Apartment Sava Square

Look, I've stayed in a lot of places around Belgrade, and this Three Bedroom Apartment on Sava Square honestly surprised me – in the best way possible.

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Belgrade, and this Three Bedroom Apartment on Sava Square honestly surprised me – in the best way possible. When I first walked up to the building on Милована Миловановића street, I’ll admit I was skeptical because the exterior looks pretty standard for that part of Savski Venac. But then you step inside and it’s like… oh, okay, someone actually put thought into this place. The apartment itself is spacious in a way that most Belgrade rentals just aren’t – I mean, you can actually spread out without bumping into furniture every five minutes, which is saying something.

What really sold me on this spot is the location, though you wouldn’t necessarily know how perfect it is unless you’ve spent time in the city. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Sava riverfront, which means easy access to those floating restaurants (splavovi) without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strips. Plus – and this is key – you can walk to Kalemegdan in about fifteen minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see locals doing their grocery shopping and kids playing in the courtyard, but it’s not so residential that you feel cut off from everything. Parking can be a bit tricky during weekdays, honestly, but evenings and weekends aren’t too bad if you know the side streets.

The apartment itself feels more like someone’s actual home than a rental property – there’s real attention to detail in the kitchen setup (they actually have decent knives and more than two plates), and the bedrooms are set up so that if you’re traveling with friends or family, people aren’t stepping over each other constantly. The WiFi is solid, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely or just want to video call home without constant freezing. I stayed there during a pretty hot July and the air conditioning kept up well, though the windows open wide enough that you can get a nice cross-breeze going in the evenings. One small thing that impressed me – the shower pressure is actually good, which you can’t take for granted in older Belgrade buildings. The only minor downside is that street noise can pick up a bit during morning rush hour, but honestly, that’s just Belgrade being Belgrade. For the price point and the space you get, especially with that perfect rating from other guests, it’s one of those places that makes you want to plan your next Belgrade trip around staying there again.
