What really won me over though was the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re close enough to walk to Kalemegdan Fortress for sunset (and trust me, you want to do this), but far enough from the main pedestrian zone that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at all hours. The street gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which is rare for this part of Stari Grad. Parking can be a bit tricky – there’s no dedicated spot, but Marko knows all the tricks for finding street parking nearby. I’d say the only minor downside is that the building is old, so you’ll hear footsteps from upstairs occasionally, but it’s not excessive and honestly adds to the authentic Belgrade experience. During summer, open those big windows and you’ll catch the evening breeze that flows through the old town – it’s one of those simple pleasures that makes you fall in love with a place.
