The apartment feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile – there’s proper lighting where you need it, the shower pressure is actually decent, and whoever set this up clearly thought about things like having enough outlets near the bed. Small details, but they matter when you’re trying to charge your phone and use your laptop at the same time.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – the location gives you this authentic Belgrade experience without the tourist markup. You’ve got proper grocery stores within walking distance, not just overpriced convenience shops, and the public transport connections are honestly better than a lot of central locations. The tram line gets you to the city center in about 15 minutes, but more importantly, you’re close to the Danube riverfront area which locals actually use for evening walks and weekend cycling. There’s this great farmers market on Saturday mornings just a few blocks away that most visitors never find. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re planning to walk everywhere and don’t want to use public transport, you might find yourself doing more walking than expected – but that’s Novi Beograd for you, it’s designed around trams and buses rather than pedestrians. Check-in was straightforward, no waiting around in lobbies or dealing with complicated key card systems. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly and start feeling like you’re actually staying somewhere rather than just passing through.
