Good communication with the host.
The apartment was well located and clean. It had everything you need for a short or longer stay.
What could be improved: The water for the shower was cold.

You know what really caught me off guard about Kate Apartment Belgrade?
You know what really caught me off guard about Kate Apartment Belgrade? The location is absolutely perfect, but not in that generic “convenient location” way everyone talks about. I mean, you’re literally on Zmaja od Noćaja street in the heart of Stari Grad – which honestly sounds intimidating when you first see it written out, but it’s actually this charming cobblestone area where you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Belgrade. The apartment sits in this beautiful old building that’s got character without feeling run-down, and when you step out the front door, you’re maybe a five-minute stroll from Knez Mihailova pedestrian zone and all those little kafanas tucked into side streets that tourists usually miss.
What really makes this place work – and I stayed here twice now, so I’m speaking from experience – is how Kate (yes, there’s actually a Kate, and she’s incredibly responsive) has figured out the sweet spot between apartment independence and hotel-level service. The space itself feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, with these thick walls that keep street noise to a minimum (which matters because Belgrade can get lively, especially on weekends). The kitchen is actually functional – I’m talking full-size fridge, decent cookware, not those sad little European hotplates – and there’s something really satisfying about grabbing fresh produce from the green market near Bajloni and making coffee in the morning while planning your day. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout, the heating works properly (crucial if you’re visiting in winter), and honestly, the whole setup just feels more authentic than staying in some international chain hotel where you could be anywhere in the world.
Here’s the thing that pushed this place into “definitely booking again” territory for me – the neighborhood vibe is just right. You’re close enough to walk to Kalemegdan Fortress when you want those Instagram-worthy Danube views, but you’re also positioned perfectly for the real Belgrade experience. There’s this little bakery around the corner that opens ridiculously early and makes these amazing burek varieties, and you’ll find yourself becoming a regular without even trying. The tram connections are easy once you figure out the system (though honestly, you’ll probably walk most places because everything’s so accessible), and parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of the city. The 9.3 rating makes total sense when you consider that Kate genuinely seems to care about the guest experience – she’ll send you restaurant recommendations that aren’t tourist traps, help sort out any issues immediately, and just generally treats you like a friend visiting rather than another booking number. It’s not luxury in the marble-lobby sense, but it’s that better kind of comfort where everything just works and you feel settled within hours of arriving.

What Our Guests Say
Location was perfect. A lot of nearby shops and cafes. Around 8 minutes walk to the Kalemegdan Fortress. Also a short walking distance to the Republic Square.
Although it is in the city centre, it was very quiet and I did not hear anything when I was inside the room.
The room has everything you need -- cooking wares, stove, cutleries, even a washing machine. Toiletries complete too.
Room is clean and very organized, well-decorated, and very cozy -- as exactly shown in the pictures.
Water heater and heater worked well. Helped me survive the chilling temperature.
Everything in the room was great but what makes it even better were the owners. They were very helpful and welcoming. Responded to my messages prior to arrival. Gave me tips on what to explore in the city. Ensured that if ever I needed something, I just have to let them know. Very good people indeed. They even let me borrow their universal charger because I forgot my adaptor.
I highly recommend Kate Apartment if you are looking for a place to stay in Belgrade.
What could be improved: Everything was perfect.
the room was spacious and nice. they provided the needed tools and equipment for a smooth stay in the accommodation, which is quite thoughtful. I also like the fact that there is information on where to go, things to do, and how to explore the city in some magazines in the apartment. The hosts were amazing too.
What could be improved: The heater in the apartment is small so it cannot retain much hot water for a long time
The location of the apartment is great, the apartment is warm and equipped with everything needed.
What could be improved: The water heater could be bigger, it is not enough for two people to take a shower.
Location is excellent, close to all amenities.Communication with an owner was really good.
What could be improved: Apartman je jako zaudarao na cigare
