You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Jolie?
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Jolie? I walked up expecting another typical Belgrade boutique place, but honestly, this spot feels like someone’s incredibly well-designed apartment that just happens to have a front desk. It’s right there on Kneza Mihajlova – and I mean literally ON the pedestrian street, not tucked away somewhere you need GPS to find. You step out the front door and you’re already in the thick of Belgrade’s main drag, which is both amazing and something to consider if you’re a light sleeper (though the rooms are surprisingly quiet, actually).
The thing about staying here is that you’re basically living like a local who happens to have impeccable taste. The staff – and this sounds cheesy but it’s true – genuinely seem to care about what you’re doing in Belgrade. They’ll tell you which kafana to hit up for the best ćevapi, or mention that the fortress is gorgeous at sunset but gets packed around 7 PM. I mean, you could google all this stuff, but there’s something different about getting tips from people who actually live here. The rooms themselves have this sort of understated elegance thing going on – not trying too hard to be trendy, but everything just works. Good lighting (thank god, because so many hotels get this wrong), comfortable beds, and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re camping. The whole place has maybe 10 rooms total, so it never feels like you’re staying in some massive tourist factory.
What really sells me on Jolie is the location intelligence, if that makes sense. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Kalemegdan Park, you can stumble to Skadarlija when you want that old-world Belgrade vibe, and the Danube waterfront is right there when you need to clear your head. But here’s the thing most travel sites won’t tell you – you’re also close enough to the newer parts of the city that you’re not stuck in tourist-land if you want to see how Belgrade actually lives and breathes. Plus, and this matters more than people realize, the area feels safe walking around at night. I’m not saying Belgrade is dangerous, but when you’re in an unfamiliar city, it’s nice knowing you can grab dinner at 10 PM without plotting your route home. The 9.9 rating isn’t some fluke – this place just gets the details right without making a big show of it.

The location could not be more perfect. In walking distance for all main sights.
Our host was there to welcome us and at every stage immediately answered any queries.

Everything was perfect. Literally fully equipped, even for longer stay. Fast internet, warm welcome with snaps😜 by the owner, small candies. Good quality towels, you have washing machine and air-conditioning. The location is in the shopping street but don't worry you won't hear anything as it is on the top floor! Many restaurants all around.
What could be improved: Nothing as it was perfect! Small improvement could be a welcome booklet where the owner put a map with restaurants and recommended bars, sightseeings.We checked by Google maps, but curious what they find good

Amazing apartment right in the center of everything! This place satisfied all of my needs. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Felt just like home. Bed was comfortable, shower was great with plenty of hot water, full kitchen, enormous private terrace, washing machine. Excellent location. You don't have to go far to see the sites or enjoy dozens of restaurants and bars. But best of all was the host. Very kind, friendly and helpful. Met me at check-in and explained everything to me and met me at checkout (with his wife). They are the nicest people, always available if you need anything. And the rakija was great too! Be sure to bring cash to pay for your stay and also 100 euros for a deposit (which is returned at checkout).
What could be improved: Nothing I didn't like. Perfect place to stay in Belgrade!

We liked this apartment, it is confortable and clean. You have everything you need. Also the owners are very friendly! And the location is excellent, you have many shops around and also close to the bus station. The balcony is very large, below is view from the balcony.
What could be improved: The bathroom and kitchen are kinda cramped.

Probably the best apartment we've ever stayed in.
Best location, right in the centre of it all.
You have a perfect view of Kneza Mihaila from the very large terrace, and plenty of space to sit at the table or lie out in the sun.
The street comes alive in the evening so you can sit on the terrace and listen to some beautiful music from the many musicians playing below.
We were there from 7th to 10th of July, and the temperature was mid to high 30s so the air-con in the apartment was delightful after a day of exploring the city.
Kneza Mihaila has everything....
From Zara and H&M to beautiful old style bookstores and historical buildings such as The Museum of contemporary Serbian art. Plenty of street traders to buy art and jewellery from. Restaurants and bars, where you can sit outside and enjoy a rest.
Park Kalemegdan and the Belgrade Fortress are a short walk away, at the end of the street, and are well worth a visit. Here you have some beautiful views of the rivers Sava and Danube.
There are plenty of shops nearby to buy your food and use the fully equipped kitchen. And a wonderful little bakery on the next street for your breakfast pastries.
The host has thought of everything so you will only really need to buy your food and drink.
The bathroom has a great sized shower and a washing machine if needed.
On entering, house shoes are provided, though you can bring your own if preferred.
There is an extra sofa bed, lots of closet space and a second TV.
Tastefully decorated, extremely clean and exceptionally comfortable.... There is nothing bad to say about this apartment.
The host is so friendly and inviting. It was a pleasure to meet him and his lovely wife.
I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend a stay here for anyone wanting to visit Belgrade.
