Cosmopolitan One Apartment

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Cosmopolitan One on Resavska Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment hotel. But man, this place actually gets it right. You’re sitting pretty much in the heart of Vračar, which honestly might be Belgrade’s most livable neighborhood if you ask me. I mean, you can walk to Svetog Save temple in about ten minutes, and there’s this whole network of cafés and local spots that tourists usually miss completely.

The apartment itself feels like someone put real thought into it, you know? It’s not trying to be flashy – just solid, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet considering you’re on Resavska (which can get busy during the day, but settles down nicely in the evenings). The kitchen actually works, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong. I ended up cooking a few meals because there’s a decent market just a couple blocks down, and honestly, after eating out for days, having that option felt like a luxury. The whole setup makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re just… living in Belgrade for a while, if that makes sense.

What really sold me though was the location – and I don’t mean “convenient location” in that generic way everyone says. I mean you’re literally surrounded by the kind of Belgrade most people never see. Walk five minutes toward Nemanjina and you hit some of the best rakija bars in the city. Head the other direction and you’re in these tree-lined streets where locals actually live, kids play football, and you can grab proper ćevapi without fighting crowds of tourists. The whole Vračar area has this relaxed vibe that’s hard to find in most European capitals, especially somewhere this central. Parking can be a bit tricky (it’s street parking, mostly), but honestly, once you’re settled in, you probably won’t need a car much anyway. The trams run right down Resavska, and you can reach pretty much anywhere in Belgrade from here. I actually found myself just walking everywhere – to Kalemegdan, down to the river, even over to Skadarlija when I was feeling ambitious. There’s something about staying in a real neighborhood instead of some tourist bubble that just makes a city feel more… accessible, I guess.
