Central and modern
You know what struck me first about this place?
You know what struck me first about this place? The name “Central and modern” is almost laughably straightforward, but honestly – it’s spot on. I mean, you’re right there on Zadarska street in Stari Grad, which puts you in this sweet spot where you can actually walk to the fortress and the bohemian quarter without dealing with Belgrade’s sometimes chaotic public transport. The building itself has that sleek, contemporary vibe that feels refreshing against the backdrop of all the historic architecture around there.
What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to nail that balance between being properly modern without feeling soulless. The rooms have this clean, minimalist thing going on, but there are these thoughtful touches – good blackout curtains (trust me, summer mornings in Belgrade are bright), actually decent wifi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the air conditioning that’s quiet enough you won’t wake up feeling like you slept next to a jet engine. The staff genuinely seemed to know the area well too, which is rarer than you’d think. When I asked about where to grab coffee that wasn’t tourist-trap terrible, they pointed me toward this little place on Skadarska that locals actually use.
Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned to explore without constantly battling Belgrade’s traffic. Skadarska street – you know, the famous cobblestone restaurant strip – is basically a five-minute stroll, and you can easily walk down to the Danube when you want to escape the city buzz for a bit. I stayed there during late spring, and honestly, the area gets pretty lively in the evenings (in a good way), but the hotel’s soundproofing is solid enough that you’re not lying there listening to every conversation from the street. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in that neighborhood – it’s not the hotel’s fault, just Belgrade being Belgrade – but they’ll help you figure it out. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places that just works without any major hassles or unpleasant surprises. For a four-star place, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for without any pretentious nonsense.

Cannot fault anything. Located in an old cobble stone street with charming old homes and apartments yet tucked away in a unique and historic part of Belgrade.
A spacious, clean and private apartment which I wish i owned. Felt very safe and secure which was important for me as a sole, female traveller.
