ART residence Cara Urosa
You know what struck me first about ART residence Cara Urosa?
You know what struck me first about ART residence Cara Urosa? It’s tucked away on this quiet cobblestone street in Stari Grad where you can actually hear yourself think – which, honestly, is pretty rare in Belgrade. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of the old town, but somehow the tourist chaos feels miles away. The building itself has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the neighborhood’s mix of Ottoman-era architecture and bohemian cafés.
The whole place feels like someone’s stylish Belgrade apartment that they’ve opened up to travelers, which I guess is sort of the point. The rooms have these interesting art pieces (hence the name, obviously) and the kind of thoughtful touches that make you think the owners actually stayed here themselves before opening. What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night – you’d expect street noise being so central, but Cara Uroša is one of those residential streets that locals use as a shortcut during the day but basically empties out after dinner. The staff genuinely knows the area too, not just the typical tourist spots. They pointed me toward this tiny bakery around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, and when I asked about getting to Zemun, they actually drew me a little map showing the bus stops locals use instead of just saying “take a taxi.”
Honestly, the 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be some flashy international chain – it’s just really, really good at being what it is. The Wi-Fi actually works (tested it on video calls), the shower pressure is solid, and there’s this nice common area where you can spread out with coffee in the morning. Plus, you’re maybe a three-minute walk from Skadarlija if you want the full tourist experience, but also close enough to wander into the regular Belgrade neighborhoods where people actually live. I walked to Kalemegdan fortress in about ten minutes, cut through the pedestrian zone for dinner, and still felt like I was staying somewhere with personality rather than just a place to sleep. The only tiny thing I’d mention is that some rooms face the courtyard and others the street – both are quiet, but if you’re a light sleeper, maybe ask about it when you book. Overall though, it’s one of those places that makes you feel like you chose well, you know?

What Our Guests Say
Great location: lots of sights and restaurants in a walking distance. Perfectly clean and comfortable apartment. There is a dishwasher, that is a rare thing in rental apartments.
I liked everything about the apartment! Perfect location, it has everything you could possibly need, perfectly clean. The host, Marko was great, very polite and at your disposal for everything.
Marko the host did everything to make us feel at home. Always responsive, positive and willing to help us. The apartment was clean, spacious and centrally located very close to Kalemegdan. We are definitely going to prefer it again next time we visit Belgrade. Hvala brate. Greetings from Athens !
What could be improved: Everything was perfect.
Clean, cute interior. Very polite, friendly and professional host.
Location is pure perfection in city center but peaceful quiet street.
The apartment was extremly clean and comfortable. Its close to city center knez mihela street and kalemegdan. Nearby there are coffes and markets. The house owner was super amazing. He took care of everything. If me and my husband come to Serbia again definitely we are staying here. I recommend this apartment to everyone you will not be regret for sure. Thanks to house owner for his cares and for his amazing apartments.
A nice and well-equipped apartment with lovely views, situated in a lively neighbourhood but also close to a park. A very helpful host who organised an early morning taxi for me.
What could be improved: Only the small of the air refresher, but they seem to be popular in the region.
Location was excellent, a couple of minutes from the main pedestrian area of the city and 5 minutes' walk from the main park/Kalemazgane which is the top sight in Belgrade. The neighbourhood is full of cafes and restaurants. Marko was the most exceptional host, not only picking me up from the airport but regularly checking whether I needed anything.
Everything about the apartment was exceptional . As a digital nomad for me it was the best place to combine my work with my hours and days off to explore the city. Great wifi, clean, comfy bed, all the utilities for the house , great taste in decoration . Just a few minutes away from the pedestrian street , cafes, shops . Also the most important the host is professional and warm at the same time .
What could be improved: The old building and the elevator give in the beginning another impression though when you get in the apartment you really don't care and of course don't forget you are in the center of Belgrade.
The host Marko was an incredible person. He helped us a lot in everything. He confirmed whether we were satisfied many times during our 6 day stay. The location of the house was in the best place possible. We walked everywhere. Some days, when we were tired, we stopped by the house and went out again. For the location of the house, I can say that it is the best house in Belgrade. The house was really clean. There were lots of appliances for the kitchen. In this way, the house felt like your own home. Thank you Marko for everything. If you are coming to Belgrade, you should definitely choose this house.
